Komax wire processing machines are complex networked systems consisting of various units (control, crimping, stripping and sealing unit). Various monitoring modules ensure the quality of the wires produced.
Maintenance and further developments of the software are complex and costly, as a wire processing machine must always be available. Building, loading and testing new software features are time-consuming.
A software simulation is created. For this purpose, all networked devices are virtualized. A new hardware layer is implemented for the controller. System states can be visualized graphically.
The software simulation enables the complete operation of the machine in a Windows application. Software extensions are built and executed without loading the hardware modules first.
